The main problem with all these meetings is that Mayweather is never in them. Until Mayweather or by extension Al Haymon is in a meeting, once again do not get your hopes up.
Here are the details as told by Freddie Roach via Boxing Scene.
Roach was present during a meeting between Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank, and CBS CEO Les Moonves. CBS is the parent company of Showtime, who have Mayweather under an exclusive agreement until the end of 2015.
Moonves, consider to be one of the most powerful businessmen in the world, told Arum and Roach that he was capable of securing Mayweather for a Pacquiao fight.
“I was there,” Roach told the Los Angeles Daily News. “I was the third party. I just listened a lot. But they spoke about what they could do and how to make the fight happen. Moonves said he can deliver Mayweather, and, obviously, Bob said he could deliver Pacquiao.
“It was a very good meeting. What they said in that meeting, if they can do it, the fight will happen. Very soon. I think next. Moonves and Bob walked out to Moonves’ car with their arms around each other. The right people are talking about it. I think that makes it a bigger possibility.”
