Strange story coming out of Boston.
Revis couldn’t make Bob Kraft’s ring ceremony party, so he sent his mother instead. It didn’t seem like that big of a deal until the Pats didn’t let her into party according to ESPN.
Diana Askew flew to Boston on Saturday, but she never made it to Kraft’s home, as she was informed on Saturday the invitation was non-transferable. There was social-media buzz Sunday night about how she was turned away at the door, but that didn’t happen.
The Patriots wanted to make it a players-only event, as they did for the recent trip to the White House and previous ring ceremonies at Kraft’s house. It’s unclear if Askew knew the policy before booking her flight to Boston. It’s also not known if she was offended. The Patriots apparently didn’t get wind of her plans until Saturday.
Revis’ mom got the ring the following morning, but sadly she didn’t have a chance to dance with Brady. Was this fair or foul on the Patriots part?
