New Day is out first talking about how clean and good they look. Kofi Kingston tells the Brooklyn crowd about hip-hop because the New York crowd doesn’t know anything about that because it originated in the South and yes, this is how you get heel heat.
Kofi says Jay-Z tried but failed and the New Day is gonna make it way better then they start singing and this is ridiculous and hilarious at the same time. The crowd is actually standing and cheering this as a New Day Rocks chant breaks out.
Michael Cole tells us that the tag titles have changed hands 13 times at SummerSlam as the cameras lock in on Kofi Kingston’s awesome gold Adidas Jeremy Scott’s.
We start with Big E and Titus O’Neill but Kofi tags Titus out and Big E tries to pin Kofi to win the titles and that was genius.
The Lucha Dragons start putting on a show against Kingston and then Big E before Darren Young tags in and now Kalisto is stealing the show dodging kicks and pin attempts.
Kofi tags Kalisto out and starts getting taken apart by Young before rolling out of the ring. Young crawls after him and as he lays on the mat Big E hits a huge splash on the apron!
Los Matadores take advantage and finally tag in and I can’t tell them apart but one of them is taking Young apart right now. Kofi tags himself in and now it’s his turn to stomp Young down. He and Big E take turns tagging each othe and stomping Young in the corner as Xavier Woods yells at the crowd that they need good breakfast so they eat bacon and eggs.
New Day continues to pick Young apart hitting a double team and then Big E locks in a stretch to further target Young’s injured ribs and he hilariously starts slapping on Young’s ribs to the tune of “New Day Rocks” and then tags Kofi in.
Kofi tries a top rope move but Young catches him with an inverted atomic drop and he finally makes the hot tag to Titus who basically knocks every single competitor out of the match. Huge boot to Kofi, Kalisto off the top caught and thrown out the ring, and another Matador gets three rib breakers before being thrown out himself. WOW!
Titus splashes a Matador and Kofi before knocking them both out but a Matador made a blind tag and hits a splash on Titus for the pin but Sin Cara breaks it up. He goes for a Suicide Dive and the announce team wants us to believe that a Matador drop kicked him but that was botched.
Xavier Woods gets involved so El Torito tries to help but Woods catches him and slams him.
Chaos in the ring now as a Matador hits Titus with a backstabber, then Big E tries to spear the Matador but he dodges it and E goes flying through the ropes and takes out Young.
More chaose as the Lucha Dragons push the Matador off the ropes (that or he straight up fell), so the other one climbs up and they try a double suplex but Titus grabs and slams all of them!
In the middle of the move, Kofi makes a blind tag on Titus and nobody notices so O’Neill hits a sitdown slam on a Matador but Kofi kicks him in the face and Big E throws Titus out as Kofi steals the cover and the win!
YOUR NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPS! NEW DAY! And they have an epic celebration in the middle of the ring as the crowd chants “NEW DAY” and we get a dance party in the middle of the ring.
And for the 14th time in SummerSlam history, the tag titles change hands.
