An elementary school teacher has been arrested at school for possessing methamphetamine in her second grade classroom.
Acting on a number of tip offs, police first raided Laura Nowling’s home in Austin, Indianapolis, where they allegedly found marijuana, opana, oxycontin and hydrocodone.
They then visited her at Austin Elementary School where they found methamphetamine inside a mint container in her purse, WLKY reported.
Scott County Sheriff Dan McClain said: ‘At one point she went to retrieve her purse and then decided to leave it.
‘As the officers began to interview her, she eventually admitted she did have drugs in her purse, under her desk.’
She hasn’t been fired beleive it or not, she has been put on administrative leave.
