Victor Cruz has been injured for the better part of 2 seasons and during that time Eli Manning has elevated his game to new heights and Odell Beckham Jr. has become a superstar.
Cruz’s 2015 injury has been classified as torn fascia in his calf, a rare injury in the NFL, but Victor believes he will return to 100% for next season.
“Supposedly after you get it fixed it’ll be 100 percent,” Cruz said. “It’s a soft-tissue injury so it should heal pretty well on its own.
“Other guys have had it as well, but it’s something that I should definitely have a full recovery from.”
Cruz also discussed how his rehab is coming along and his timeline for recovery.
“Obviously still rehabbing, still getting strength back in the calf, but I feel good,” Cruz said. “There is no more pain, there are no more setbacks or anything like that. Now we’re just working on getting the strength back so I can be able to run and cut and all those good things.”
The Giants need to add more weapons offensively this offseason and their draft will most likely be geared toward improving their struggling defense, which means Cruz’s addition will be welcomed if healthy.
