In a recent interview on ESPN, Pittsburgh runningback DeAngelo Williams said there’s no doubt that Cincinnati linebacker Vontaze Burfict’s hit on receiver Antonio Brown, which benched him for a week, caused the Steelers a trip to the Super Bowl.
Burfict took exception with Williams comments and the two went at in on Twitter.
I would suggest both of these guys refrain from verbal attacks and threats on social media. Burfict is already under enough heat from the league for what many have categorized as habitual dirty play, and Williams seems like a player in the twilight of his career trying to finds ways to stay relevant.
