Craig Sager is beloved by every coach and player that has ever had the chance to be interviewed by the legendary sideline reporter — and Allen Iverson is among the many showing the love in a major way.
Sager revealed that he is no longer in remission — told by doctors he might have three to six months to live, as his leukemia has returned. Iverson — one of the NBA’s all-time great fighters — had this message for Sager.
“Man, I love you, man, you a fighter,” Iverson said. “And fight. Do what we do. That’s what we do, we fight.”
Sager will work tonight’s Bulls-Heat matchup on TNT.
