Dana White and Conor McGregor are back to their usual cat & mouse negotiation tactics.
This time Dana White began the public war of words by responding to a Twitter fan that asked whether Conor will headline UFC 205 in NYC.
not true it's @TeamKhabib

Khabib Nurmagomedov has long been considered the best 155 lb fighter in the world but injuries has delayed his title shot the past few years. Khabib has only fought once since 2013 and it was against an opponent making his UFC debut.
A main event featuring Khabib and Eddie Alvarez likely headlines a free FS1 card but have McGregor challenge lightweight champion Alvarez in NYC and the fight main events one of the biggest PPV cards in UFC history.
Eddie Alvarez has made his choice known.
The illusion of Greatness will soon be Over. It's time for Truth ! GN guys I have an early morning #ufc205 #eafight #thnq #phillyfighter

McGregor had this to say about competing at UFC 205:
Beg me

The UFC is painted in to a very narrow corner. It’s not like them to publicly let booking ‘slip’ via Twitter, so I expect that Dana White was just letting Conor know that he has other options.
We aren’t buying it and neither should you.
