The Seahawks should have just stayed quiet and then did whatever they planned to do, but because some of their players primarily Doug Baldwin just had to talk about their “secret plans” there show of support of Kaepernick isn’t very strong.
They wanted to kneel, but there was some pushback so now they will stand.
No one seems to be in agreement what they are trying to accomplish. By being so PC about it, it has only given Kaepernick’s detractors more ammunition, while Kaepernick’s supporters see the gesture as weak.

In the end it isn’t about how you protest, it is about what you are protesting about. The Seahawks should have spent more time on that, than elaborate pregame activities.
