Learn Why 12 Year Old’s Lemonade Business Has NFL Players Investing In It

After reading this story, you’ll be immediately inspired. Mikaila Ulmer has gotten a major backing from a few NFL players and her lemonade business is sure to take off.

In the past, we’ve written about this now 12-year-old’s lemonade business. But now, there’s a major update in this young entrepreneur’s life and we can’t help but just give it a high five. A recipe that dates back to the 1940s which is a family recipe, is the reason for her success.

Mikaila who is 12 years old started selling lemonade sweetened with honey after her great-grandmother gave her a family recipe from the 1940s.  The recipe was so good and became so popular that you can find her lemonade in Wegman’s, Whole Foods and other retailers.

Ulmer was even on the popular Shark Tank but now, her investors are some familiar names and their profession is the NFL.

Former and current NFL players Arian Foster, Glover Quin, Duane Brown, Jonathan Grimes, Omar Bolden, Bobby Wagner, Darius Slay, Sharrick McManis, EJ Manuel and Malik Jackson have combined to put up $810,000 to back Ulmer’s business.

Foster told the Houston Chronicle the group of players was looking for an investment opportunity that could help a promising entrepreneur like Ulmer, and help a good cause.  A portion of Mikaila’s lemonade profits go to organizations that work to fight colony collapse disorder which has devastated bee populations. Mikaila is helping to save the honey bees.

It shows that Mikaila knows a lot about what’s going on since she is helping to save the honey bees. Bees are extremely crucial in our survival.

Arian Foster and Glover Quin’s reason for supporting her business will make you give them a round of applause. It’s about supporting one another. Take a look at what they had to say.

“Of course, any time you invest in anything you look at if it’s going to be profitable,” Foster said. “We look for companies that match our main focus of developing a good product, but are also good people and do it for the right reasons. It’s more than about money to us. We believe that investing in small black businesses is extremely important.”

Quinn said, “She’s super smart.  She’s very special.  Obviously she has a bright future.  Hopefully, I can be a part of it and nourish it and watch her grow.  The sky is the limit.  I’m very impressed with her.”

We look forward to seeing her blossom in the entrepreneur world and can only wonder what she has in store for us.
