Another Hate Crime at American University; Confederate Flags with Cotton on Them Found on Campus (Photos)

If there’s one thing Trump’s America has done it’s that it has empowered racist to come out of hiding and display their hate on the forefront. The latest act of hatred has taken place in the Nations Capital itself at American University. Students noticed last night that a print out of the Confederate flag with cotton placed on it was on bulletin boards around campus, 10 of them to be exact.

Here is the university’s official statement regarding the hate crime:

This isn’t new to American University. Just last year, bananas were found hanging from nooses the same day a black woman took office as the student government president for the first time in the prestigious university’s history. The bananas had “AKA FREE” written on them, references the predominantly black sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. that newly elected president, Taylor Dumpson happens to be a member of. Even before that, an incident occurred earlier that semester where a banana was thrown into the dorm room of a black woman.

American University is less than 9% black. Students want REAL change and accountability, not more town halls.
