I don’t think the reporter actually thought Gabrielle Union was Paul George. I think the reporter saw Paul George was talking to D Wade about free agency in his ESPN special and assumed Paul George was with D Wade in Ibiza.

Actually, I believe Chris Paul is with him, but not PG.
