A few months ago, social media went into an uproar when it was announced that Maroon 5 would headline the Super Bowl in Atlanta. Atlanta has been the epicenter of the best hip-hop artists in the game since the 2000s and the fact that none were selected was confusing. Then again, many rappers are passing on the NFL due to them blackballing Colin Kaepernick simply for him kneeling during the national to protest racism and police brutality.
Travis Scott has been added to the halftime show as well after the major success of his third studio album, “Astroworld.” Meek Mill had some thoughts about this as he asked “For what?” Meek has been very vocal lately in regards to addressing racial injustices in America. He served a six-month prison sentence from October 2017-April 2018 for supposedly violating probation all because he was popping wheelies on a motorcycle in NYC.
Twitter definitely let their thoughts go about Meek’s shade against the NFL. Flip the pages for reactions.
