I don’t believe Colin Kaepernick is beyond being critique on certain issues. No one is beyond being critiqued on or off the field. The problem becomes how someone can take your assessments of the situation seriously when you are doing stuff like this?
I can understand why people would disagree about artists performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. I see both sides of that issue, and there shouldn’t be a problem having a respectful dialogue about it regardless of which side are you on.
But, seriously a Black Man in an Afro?
Where you not only insult black people but Muhammad Ali, Muslims and women in less than 40 seconds. That is clown behavior to the highest degree.
There are certain topics where humor can be used harmlessly, this isn’t one of them. Just look at the profiles of the people high fiving Whitlock and Wiley about this. Just take 20-30 mins and see what things these people Tweet about, it certainly isn’t about racial inequality or police brutality.
If you want to be taken seriously, be fair and be unbiased, don’t be the anti-black guy for ratings, that isn’t cool and is very disappointing.
I expect that from Whitlock, I am surprised Wiley even if he disagreed with Kaepernick on this subject would partake and participate (his comment about Nessa was out of line) in this.
We are fighting a bigger battle here than just the NFL vs. Kaepernick and this isn’t helping our cause it just harms it.
