It’s been 10 years since Jordan Crawford infamous dunk on Lebron James.
In 2009, Crawford was a sophomore in Xavier was invited to Lebron James Skills Academy. Crawford was playing a pickup with other NBA players including Lebron James.
During the game Crawford attack, the rim and Lebron went to contest the dunk but he was a second too late and he got dunk on. The best footage of the dunk was confiscated by Nike.
Nike spokesman Derek Kent said, “Nike has been operating basketball camps for the benefit of young athletes for decades and has long-standing policies as to what events are open and closed to media coverage. Unfortunately, for the first time in four years, two journalists did not respect our no videotaping policy at an after-hours pickup game following the LeBron James Skills Academy.”
Jordon Crawford did an interview with Uproxx talking about the infamous dunk on Lebron James.
Crawford admits to some curiosity about the fate of that original video, but it’s not the only trophy from that night that he’d like to claim. He remembers Nike reps joking with the college players before the game about a $500 bounty for anyone who could manage to dunk on the camp’s namesake.
Crawford laughs as he delivers the punchline: “They never gave me my $500.”
