Earlier Friday it was reported that Raiders receiver Antonio Brown filed a helmet grievance against the NFL.
Now, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Brown has told the Raiders he will not play football again unless he can wear his old helmet.
Brown had a two hour conference call with league officials to argue why he should be able to wear the old helmet.
Brown wants to wear the helmet he wants and not one that’s mandated by the league. The raiders have sent him many approved helmets but Brown doesn’t like them.
His absence from training camp has more to do with his helmet than his feet which he also has a problem with.
A decision on if he can wear his old helmet can be made as soon as next week.
