When the COVID-19 pandemic first started in early 2020, plenty of notable celebrities caught the virus, such as Tom Hanks, Idris Elba, Donovan Mitchell, and Kevin Durant. Now, it looks like O.J. Simpson dealt with it as well, and his case was extremely severre.
OJ spoke with The Athletic about contracting the Rona, and firmly believed that he felt so sick to the point where he felt that he would die. It even got to the point where he sat down with his children, to discuss this being a possibility.
“When I had COVID, I almost couldn’t get out of bed,” Simpson said. I made it to my balcony, trying to breathe. I couldn’t catch my breath. I felt vulnerable, and for the first time thought I might be near the end.”
OJ is fine now, and says that he is still living in Vegas. Now, he hits the golf course 4-5 times per week. He even made it known that people still publicly show him love.
“People want to buy me drinks,” OJ added. “I’m always taking pictures with people. Ladies hug me. People truly care for m. You don’t know who truly cares about you until you’ve gone through some serious stuff, and I’ve gone through serious stuff.”
