On New Year’s Eve, Ex-UNLV Basketball player Dylan Gonzalez tweeted that Trey Songz was a rapist.
She didn’t give any details at the time, so it wasn’t known if it was a personal experience or she was speaking on someone’s behalf. She finally clarified today on her social media accounts where she said the following.
With what seems like endlessly reoccurring news of the alleged sexual assaults committed by Trey Songz, I am forced to repeatedly relive in my mind and suffer anew the long-suppressed horror and unbearable PTSD of my rape by his very hands at a well known Las Vegas hotel.
I want to send my love, strength and hope to all who are victims of sexual assault and its fatal nature. You are not alone.
I stand with you and encourage all those who suffered abuse to speak out and come forward. Suppression of our voices only emboldens our oppressors and you cannot heal what you do not reveal.
She goes on to say that she would like her privacy to be respected at this time and refers all media inquires to her attorney.
She does not state if she plans to press charges against Songz or if she plans to sue him in the future.
Dylan is one of half the Gonzalez twins. She joined the New Orleans Gators owned by Master P in 2020 alongside her twin sister, Dakota.
They became fan favorites and social media influencers in the mid-2010s, with the likes of Drake and others becoming fans of their game on and off the court.
Trey Songz hasn’t responded to the accusations, but as Ms. Gonzalez has stated, he has long been dogged by allegations of sexual assault but has never been officially charged or convicted of any sexual assault crime.
