There is no way that Brian Flores would make up a story about Stephen Ross offering him $100k a loss bribe if it wasn’t true. The reason I say that is because if that was a lie it would undermine his entire case about the racist hiring practices of the NFL. Flores wouldn’t do that just to try to get back at Ross for firing him.
The NFL which said the lawsuit was without merit is now all of a sudden planning to investigate Ross according to ESPN Chris Mortensen.
The NFL will investigate the specific allegations that Brian Flores has made concerning Dolphins owner Stephen Ross offering him $100,000 per-loss incentives in 2019 to gain a better draft position, a league source said. Other potential rules violations also will be investigated.
One of the reasons the NFL is realizing that what Flores was saying is true is a witness has come forward to corroborate Flores story according to NFL Network Cameron Wolfe.
I spoke with a witness who said he heard Steve Ross offer Brian Flores 100K for every 2019 loss.
Flores’ team says they have corroborating evidence including messages from GM Chris Grier. IF proven, the integrity of the game in Q. Dolphins denied the allegations.
BSO reported earlier that the Feds are watching this case very closely. If it can be proven that Ross was trying to dictate the outcomes of games he could be hit with Federal criminal charges. The NFL problem is if they find out what Flores is saying is true, then it backs them in a corner about other aspects of the lawsuit.
With other coaches like Hue Jackson coming out with similar stories and out-of-work black coaches ready to join in the fight, this thing is about to turn from a large snowball into an avalanche of problems for the NFL.
They better clean it up quickly because it is getting very messy for them.
