Lakers Fans Bully Anthony Davis Into Working Out After He Said He Hasn’t Picked Up a Basketball Since April

This past season was pretty forgettable for Anthony Davis given he spent most of the year off the court due to injury.

It’s been a while since he’s played a game but he seems to be healthy and ready to put in work for next season.

Or at least one would have thought. AD recently said that he hadn’t taken a shot since his last game he played on April 5th which upset a lot of Laker fans because they would have thought he’d be itching to put in work.

On the “Nuke Squad” YouTube vlog that was posted Friday, Davis said he hadn’t shot a basketball since playing his final game on April 5.

After being sidelines for six weeks, Davis would return for the final three games. He put up 72 points and 34 rebounds in those three contests, but they all resulted in losses.

He averaged 23.2 points, 9.9 boards, and 2.3 blocks in 40 games all season.

Players obviously have every right to rest during the offseason, but after such a disappointing 2021-22 campaign, Lakers fans were apparently hoping to hear that their superstar big man was putting in some work this summer. After finding out that hasn’t been the case, Twitter went off on A.D.

After getting a lot of criticism, a pic was uploaded not to long after of AD working with professional shooting coach Lethal Shooter and that sent social media into a frenzy saying he was bullied into working on his shot.

It was probably just a coincidence but it certainly doesn’t matter online.
