On the Fourth of July, Chicago Bears wide receiver David Moore was arrested on weapon charges after falling asleep in the Taco Bell drive-thru. He happens to be the third Bears player to be arrested this off-season.
Side Action has more;
Moore just signed a contract with the Chicago Bears this offseason, and now he’s been was arrested this month after he allegedly fell asleep in a Taco Bell drive-thru. According to the Gainesville Police Dept., officers found Moore asleep in the driver’s seat of a 2018 Ford F250 at the local fast-food joint at around 11:18 PM on July 3rd.
Police revealed he had “a package of THC edible candies along with three pistols” in his car. Moore was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful carrying of weapons. Records show Moore was booked into Cooke County, Texas jail on July 4 on the weapon and drug charges.
Moore was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the 7th round of the 2017 NFL Draft. In four seasons with the ‘Hawks, he recorded 78 catches for 1,163 yards and 13 TDs.
He later went on to play for the Panthers, Raiders, Broncos and Packers, and signed with the Bears in April. Bears Receiver Byron Pringle was jailed in April, while linebacker Matt Adams was just arrested last month.
Why did he need three guns?
He certainly didn’t need three guns while taking a bunch of edibles, that was a recipe for disaster. There are just too many guns in our society. Does he have the mob after him if he did the guns weren’t going to help him if he was sleeping in the Taco Bell drive-thru?
He isn’t that good for a wide receiver to be doing things like this. He is lucky the cops didn’t shoot him 60 times.
The Bears haven’t decided what to do with Moore.
