Cam’ron claims he was once offered a whopping $300K for his pink fur coat but he turned the offer down. Really? Cam’ron must love this famous pink fur coat.
According to MTO News;
Cam’ron says he was once offered more than a quarter of a million dollars for his famous pink fur…but he turned the potential buyer down.
“The people who offered it to me, I didn’t feel they deserved it. It was more of a stat to them like, ‘I bought Cam’s jacket.’ It wasn’t really like they appreciated where that jacket came from,” he told Kevin Durant.
“If it makes sense to sell it to somebody who would appreciate it or put it where it’s gonna be seen and be stored that people know it’s my jacket, cool,” he continued. “You got rich suburban kids who be like, ‘Hey Cam, my girlfriend really loves your pink jacket. I don’t really know too much about it but I’ll buy it for her. How much do you want for it?’ That type sh-t. These are booster babies. Their parents come from generational money to where they probably don’t know much about Hip Hop at all anyway, but they dealing with people who do.”
Cam went on to add that he rarely wears the fur.
This is classic Cam’Ron and I have to admit I can’t blame him for his decision because that coat is iconic and if he was going to sell it, you want it to go to an owner that appreciates it.
It was clear the person who was offering the $300k didn’t appreciate what they were about to receive, so Cam did the right thing.
It is probably worth double that now if we are being honest.
