With a 4-2 record after six weeks, the Buffalo Bills have lived up to the hype as a Super Bowl candidate because of strong play on both sides of the ball.
Buffalo has the third-best scoring defense (14.8 points allowed per game) and scoring offense (28.8 points per game) going into Week 7. Buffalo plays both the Miami Dolphins and the Kansas City Chiefs in the latter stages of the season, and they are only one game behind those teams for the top seed in the AFC.
The Bills are expected to make a move before the trade deadline on October 31st, and general manager Brandon Beane ought to consider acquiring an additional weapon to enhance the offensive capabilities of Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, and James Cook.
Is it right time to move Hunter Renfrow ?
Buffalo’s postseason losses to Kansas City in 2020 and Cincinnati in 2022 were particularly glaring examples of their deficiency in a game-changing No. 2 receiver. The Bills could use another trustworthy pass-catcher to relieve the strain on Davis and Diggs, even if Davis is on pace for a career year (he has 21 catches for 341 yards and six touchdowns).
Hunter Renfrow, the slot receiver for the Las Vegas Raiders, has only six receptions for 59 yards and zero touchdowns this season, so it seems like a decent idea to move him. The former Pro Bowler is two years removed from a season in which he amassed 1,000 yards of total offense, but he hasn’t fit into Josh McDaniels’ offense at all.
The Raiders paid a lot of money to retain Hunter Renfrow. They are not using him to the standard THEY CHOSE to pay him. They didn't inherit his deal; it is THEIR DEAL. To have spent the $ on Jakobi and draft capital on Tucker shows a log jam. That is a big blunder.

For Renfrow, Buffalo ought to give Vegas a fifth-round pick in 2024 and a sixth-round pick in 2025. Renfrow would welcome the opportunity to start again on a club that is vying for the Super Bowl, and the Raiders would undoubtedly be ecstatic to have his money taken off the books.

Renfrow has 103 catches in 2021, 51 of which were for first downs. For a Buffalo squad that needs more than Diggs and Davis to perform come playoff time, he would be the perfect third-down comfort blanket. Given that the former Pro Bowl player will cost almost nothing in a trade, why not make the move?
