Fans of NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” are not happy with Cris Collinsworth‘s replacement in the booth this week. Jason Garrett filled in for the former Bengals wide receiver during the Ravens vs. Chargers game, instead of going with partner Mike Tirico.
Naturally, a lot of you are probably curious as to why. The 64-year-old took Thursday off so he could spend the rest of Thanksgiving weekend with his family, with the exception of his son Jac, who is working tonight’s game. He missed much of Thanksgiving because he was on the call for the 49ers-Seahawks game on Thursday.
NBC says Cris Collinsworth is enjoying Thanksgiving with his family, so he’s been replaced by Jason Garrett tonight.

Collinsworth has some work to do at home because last week, he unintentionally spent $800 on fish for Thanksgiving. It looks like the family has to get rid of it right away.

Tirico has since verified the information above, despite the fact that some people saw Cris’ son Jac working the game. Perhaps Jac didn’t receive the invitation this year? Or is Cris just taking a vacation?
