It is impossible for Patrick Mahomes, superstar for Chiefs to win every time. The 28-year-old Super Bowl champion admitted to a difficult defeat on his Instagram Story on Friday. It seems that he lost a March Madness wager against pals Shane and Paige Buechele, forcing him to pose in a cow mask in front of the public.

The embarrassing selfie was accompanied by the remark, “A bets a bet… okay cool #Hookem,” probably in reference to the Longhorns of the University of Texas in Austin making it further in the tournament, while Mahomes’ former school, Texas Tech, lost their March Madness game on Friday.

Mahomes raised his horns in the air in the picture, concealing any disappointment he could have been experiencing with his large cow mask.
Buechele’s past university, UT, defeated Colorado State 56-44, while Mahomes’ previous school fell to NC State 80-67 in the opening round of the tournament. Sadly, Mahomes had to switch sides for just one Instagram Story in order to do it.
With the comment “Horns always go up!” on his Instagram Story, Shane reshared his old teammate’s cow posture. As Paige posted the Instagram Story picture of Mahomes dressed up, she also made fun of her friend. “What’s crazyyy is that there wasn’t even a bet.. this was all him,” Paige wrote.
