The Seattle Seahawks are preparing for the 2024 NFL season by making significant roster changes. Geno Smith is expected to start at quarterback, but Seattle needs a new backup.
On Tuesday, March 12, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport revealed that quarterback Drew Lock would be joining the New York Giants. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Lock consented to a $5 million, one-year contract.
One individual who is ecstatic about Lock joining the Giants is Natalie Lock, his wife. Natalie shared a heartfelt message of support on social media following the announcement.
According to Natalie’s Instagram Stories,
Lock and Natalie got married in April 2023 at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida, following a few years of courtship. Layton Andrew, the couple’s first child, was born on January 15. Natalie shared the following on Instagram:
“The sweetest little boy is finally in our arms & we are so in love! Our hearts are forever full🤍.. & to make this day even more special, he arrived on my grandma’s birthday. Our biggest blessing!”
Lock arrived in Seattle as part of the historic Russell Wilson deal after being selected by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. There has been a significant roster turnover at the Seahawks under new head coach Mike Macdonald. This summer, Lock is not the only offensive player to go.
Seattle also bid farewell to guard Damien Lewis, running back DeeJay Dallas, and tight ends Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson.
