For two decades, a large audience has watched the popular show “MTV Cribs.” Many viewers connected with the show’s theme of exhibiting opulent residences. NBA players were also influenced by the exhibition, as they want to have such large rooms. On the other hand, it’s possible that illusion served as the show’s basic foundation. According to Jeff Teague and his Club 520 crew, the mansions of the athletes on the show are most likely real, but the homes of the rappers might not have been their original residences.
Teague made a suggestion about this and criticized the show’s creators. He asserted that Redman’s residence was “believable,” but he is unable to make the same claim about numerous other rappers.
The former Timberwolves player, though, wasn’t convinced that rappers like Ja Rule owned a home like that. He said he had “done his PR” before speaking, and he pushed his co-hosts to be “ourselves.”
“They had me fu**ed up cuz Ja Rule had me thinking that was his house. That ain’t that ni**a’s goddamn house”, Teague told his crew.
He also made note of how frequently these rappers showed off their residences without saying where they were going, suggesting that they didn’t spend much time in their mansions. DJ Wells, his co-host, agreed with the idea.
The former NBA guard was astounded that after believing the show’s claims for so long, he only discovered what had actually happened. Is he correct that MTV Cribs stage mansions to entice viewers?
