Along With Wilt, Domantas Sabonis Is One of the Few NBA Players to Accomplish This Extraordinary Feat

Another amazing day, another accomplishment by Domantas Sabonis. Now that he has joined Wilt Chamberlain as the only players with at least 1,000 rebounds and 600 assists in a single season, the Kings great center has established himself in the upper echelons of the NBA.

With eight games left in the 2023–24 regular season, Sabonis has collected 1,007 rebounds after grabbing 11 boards in Sacramento‘s 127–106 victory over the Utah Jazz on Sunday. He contributed six assists and 17 points to the victory on Sunday.

This season, the three-time NBA All-Star has participated in every Sacramento game and averaged 19.6 points, 13.6 rebounds, and 8.3 assists.

In terms of double-doubles (70), triple-doubles (26), and rebounds (1,007), he leads the league (13.6 rebounds per game).

With two Hall of Fame performances under his belt, Chamberlain is clearly in a class by himself. However, Sabonis’ name has appeared in Chamberlain area on multiple occasions this season, and he continues to improve.
