QB Dak Prescott of the Cowboys Acknowledges That He Needs to Improve

The Cowboys’ front office is aware of this. Everybody in the league is aware of it. Dak Prescott needs to perform better. Luckily, he is aware of it as well. In their own house, the Cowboys were humiliated on Sunday. Not by the Lions, however. Following the alarming 47-9 defeat, Prescott accepted responsibility for the defeat by stating:

“I don’t want to say I have to play perfect by any means, but I’ve got to play better, better than I did and close to [perfect]. Especially when you’re playing a team like that.”

The Lions have been outstanding this season, but that doesn’t mean America’s team can afford to lose so badly against them. Every member of the Cowboys’ team bears some responsibility for tonight’s defeat. Additionally, the majority of them do not earn $60 million annually.

Dak Prescott talks about where he can improve

In 33 tries, the league’s highest-paid quarterback only completed 17 passes for 178 yards and no touchdowns. What does he have planned for the next bye week, then? He said: “Look in the mirror. Look in the mirror. Go watch these six games over the bye week. Take a few days off, reset, and be ready when we get back into that building Monday to refocus and do every single thing that you can to help this team.”

The 49ers are on the other side of this bye week. San Francisco does indeed have a thin roster, and like Dallas, they haven’t played at their best. However, they are still capable of outperforming the Dallas version that was in play today.

The road ahead will be far more difficult if Dak and the Cowboys are unable to move past this bye week and return with a vengeance.
