Russell Wilson Is on Tom Brady’s “Stars of the Week” List

Tom Brady Tv Debut

These are Tom Brady‘s picks for the NFL’s seventh week! This time, two quarterbacks and a running back made the former Patriots star’s list. Russell Wilson, the starting quarterback for the Steelers, stood out among all the other names. Wilson received high marks from Brady for his efforts, saying: “He proved why he should be the starter in his debut against the Jets on Sunday night. Mike Tomlin made a tough decision but he got the job done.”

The Steelers star completed 16 of 29 passes in his season-opening game. He had three total touchdowns and covered 264 yards. Wilson’s outstanding effort helped the Pittsburgh team score 37 points, their highest total in a game since 2021.

Several NFL fans expressed misgivings before the former Seahawks quarterback started for the Steelers. Wilson’s introduction by Coach Tomlin was a surprise given that Justin Fields was the favored.

Brady had intimated that this move would be a masterstroke, and the Pittsburgh team was able to fully utilize Wilson’s throwing exploits. Additionally, the club benefited from Russell’s presence in a game against a more experienced player like Aaron Rodgers, which gave the Steelers quarterback a lot of confidence.

Brady praised two additional players for their unwavering efforts on the field this week, which relates to confident play.
