The NFL announced on Tuesday that Von Miller, a top defensive player for the Buffalo Bills, has been suspended for four games without pay for violating the league’s personal conduct code.
Only a few days after suffering a crushing defeat at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens, the Bills are facing a difficult schedule as they get ready to play multiple close games without their seasoned pass rusher.
Von Miller suspension reason
Miller, 35, will miss the next four games for the Bills, which include crucial matchups with the Seattle Seahawks, Houston Texans, New York Jets, and Tennessee Titans.
When Buffalo plays the Miami Dolphins, an AFC East opponent, in Week 9, he will be qualified to make a comeback. The ban is due to claims that in November 2023, Miller’s pregnant girlfriend was involved in a domestic incident.
During the Bills’ bye week, the event took place, and on November 30, Miller turned himself in to Texas police. Even though Miller has refuted the claims and called them “100% false,” the NFL conducted an inquiry without filing any criminal charges.
Miller was suspected of physical assault, according to an affidavit, and officers had noticed some minor injuries. Despite these allegations, Miller publicly addressed the matter in December and no official charges were brought. There’s little doubt that Miller’s absence will impact the Bills’ defensive approach. After missing a significant portion of 2022 due to a knee ailment, Miller has tallied three sacks this season.
