Former NFL quarterback and college football star Johnny Manziel is interfering in the feud between podcaster and former rapper Gillie Da Kid and fellow former signal-caller Cam Newton.
The latest back and forth between Gillie and Newton began after Newton failed to include Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts in his ranking of the NFL’s top ten quarterbacks, which infuriated Gillie, an Eagles supporter.
In his most recent jab at Newton, Gillie said, “Cam ain’t never had one of these,” while clutching the Super Bowl trophy at his birthday celebration. He then declared that he would stop arguing with Newton.
After seeing the video, Manziel yelled at Gillie, threatening to slap him if he ever saw him again. He wrote: “Yo @gilliedakid you may be the biggest fucking loser on the planet. Talking like you’ve fucking done anything on a football field. If I see you just know I’m going to slap the fuck out of you, trust”

After his first tweet, Manziel added a couple more. He wrote: “I love a Million Dollaz Worth of Game but that’s the corniest [expletive] I’ve ever seen in my life”
Following Gillie’s criticism of Newton for his Hurts ranking, the former MVP and star of the Carolina Panthers attacked Gillie’s rap career, claiming that he “did not chart any solo singles.”
Newton’s assessment of Hurts has angered many people, not just Gillie. In addition to ESPN anchor Stephen A. Smith, former NFL players Terrell Owens, Ryan Clark, and Dan Orlovsky have all attacked Newton.
