Poor Shaq.
He has to know that his time is short in the NBA, he has been trying to latch on with a team to win another championship, while his skills are deteriorating.
He got divorce, his ex wife was spending his money on Braylon Edwards look a like and he is being accused of hacking into computers to get info on his mistresses.
His mortal enemy is now considered one of the greatest players of all time and has won not one, but two rings as THE GUY on one of the most glamorous franchises in the world.
His former “Flash” and his former “King” have teamed up and left him.
So I understand the bitter old man syndrome that is going on right now with Shaq. Take a look at some of the quotes:
On Kobe saying he has one more ring than Shaq:
“My first thought [after hearing that] was, ‘Well, I guess I’m still relevant,'” O’Neal said. “Kobe is still thinking about me, I guess. I’m still someone to be measured against.
On his legacy:
“But I don’t compete with little guards. I don’t compete with little guys who run around dominating the ball, throwing up 30 shots a night — like D-Wade, Kobe.
On him playing the “Big Brother” to Lebron, Kobe & Wade:
“For once in my career, I won’t have to hold anybody’s hand”
Some subliminal shots being fired in those quotes.
Shaq signed with Boston for two reasons:
- If he wins a championships with Boston it is a knife in the back of the Lakers.
- He will have to go through the South Beach NWO.
If that doesn’t motivate him at age 38 and officially now the oldest player in the league, nothing else will. If I was Kobe though I would change the passwords on my computers just to be on the safe side.
