On the Clippers Patrick Patterson one year anniversary to his wife Sarah he was reminded about a time he was asked why he didn’t marry a black woman.
Patterson could have said love is love and he just happened to find the right person for him who happened to be white (which is perfectly fine), but instead, he perpetuated a stereotype about rich black men wanted white women because they are superior to black women.
He called black women “bulldogs” in his comments and told other men to wake up and get them a white woman.
Once this came back to light he decided to issue an apology.
