Travis Kelce’s Ex-Girlfriend Kayla Nicole Apologizes After Taylor Swift Fans Exposed Her Tweets

Kayla Nicole, the former girlfriend of NFL star Travis Kelce, issued a public apology this week for past posts on social media that she described as “ignorant, hurtful and completely wrong.”

The model and host addressed the controversy after a series of her old tweets, characterized by media reports as containing homophobic and racist language, were circulated widely online. Nicole has since deleted her X (formerly Twitter) account.

Ashamed of Past Comments

In a statement posted to her Instagram Story on Thursday, Nicole expressed deep regret over the resurfaced posts. She distanced herself from the language used in the tweets, asserting that they do not reflect her current views.

“I am incredibly sorry and ashamed that I ever thought or spoke that way,” Nicole wrote. “The woman I am today would never use those words or express those kinds of views.”

Nicole’s old posts began circulating after she drew attention for her Halloween costume, which some observers interpreted as a subtle critique of Kelce and his fiancée, pop superstar Taylor Swift. Nicole denied the interpretation of her costume, stating she was not attempting to take a “dig” at the couple.

Taking Responsibility and Deleting Her Account

Nicole emphasized that the difficulty of seeing her past remarks resurface prompted her decision to take full responsibility and remove her presence from the platform where they originated.

“Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how cruel and harmful online hate can be, and I would never want to add to that world of pain in any form,” she wrote.

She concluded her statement by affirming her commitment to moving forward with empathy. “I can’t change the past, but I will continue showing through my actions who I’ve become and what I stand for today,” she added. “My heart, values and perspective are completely rooted in empathy, love, and respect for others.”

If you don’t care about the Tweets and are just here for the thirst traps photos, you know what to do.
