It looks like the Dolphins might have a major setback at a position they already struggled with in the 2013 season. Newly signed RB appears to need knee surgery before the season starts. Moreno hasn’t been taking too many snaps in practice and the speculation is the reason is that he may have to undergo surgery on his right knee.
The good news is that it’s not the right knee that was surgically repaired in 2011 for a a torn ACL. The bad news is that it’s knee surgery nonetheless and means significant time could be missed. The Dolphins signed Moreno to a 1-year $3 million deal, guaranteeing him $1.25 million. If the reports are true, it looks like it’s back to the drawing board for a running back that fits the team.
