It appears to me that FSU should be putting itself on trial considering they are the one who covered up for Winston. They didn’t just cover up for him in regard to the most serious charge of rape, but several other lesser offenses. While Jameis has himself to blame for a lot of his problems, the fact FSU has been his enabler hasn’t helped.
After almost two years Winston will have a disciplinary hearing for his rape allegation.
Florida State officials notified reigning Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston on Friday that he will face a disciplinary hearing into charges about whether he sexually assaulted an FSU student in December 2012.
In a letter sent to Winston and his attorney on Friday, FSU interim president Garnett Stokes and vice president for student affairs Mary B. Coburn notified Winston that he might be charged with as many as four violations of FSU’s student conduct code, two of which involve sexual conduct.
During all of this Winston will continue to start for the Seminoles. It should be noted that Winston has never been charged or arrested for rape, he was just accused. I would not be shocked if the hearing didn’t happen until after the season.
