To say that Steph Curry was simply on fire Wednesday night would not do justice to the performance that was on display as the Golden State Warriors faced off against the Dallas Mavericks.
Curry went on to collect the second 50-point game of his career as he nailed ten three pointers in route to a grand total of 51 for the night.
After falling behind big early the Warriors’ guard let loose during the third quarter posting 26 of his 51 points directly after intermission.
Curry’s hot shooting night included him going 10 of 16 from behind the arch finishing 16-for-26 from the field.
Curry commented on he and the Warriors big second half during a post-game televised interview with:
“We leaned on our crowd in the second half. Just being aggressive, that’s all we do… The shots are going to fall. As long as we got defensive stops, we kept ourselves in the game and we have enough talent on this team to turn the tide.”
The 26 points Curry secured in the third quarter was good enough for Curry’s career quarter high, but wasn’t enough however to overtake teammate Klay Thompson’s 37-point third quarter last month.
