The Oklahoma City Thunder were dumptrucked by the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, losing by a final score of 130-91. Thunder guard Russell Westbrook told reporters afterward that he felt the Spurs wanted it more and played with a sense of urgency, unlike his team.
Westbrook’s attitude changed once reporters started to question the Thunder’s defensive prowess via ESPN’s Royce Young:

So was tonight more about energy, or some of the defensive issues of late carrying over?
Uh, defensive issues carrying over … I’m confused. You didn’t say that when we won four games in a row. I’m just a little confused.
You gave up 117 to the Lakers yesterday —
But you didn’t say that when we won, so I’m a little confused.
So if you win, it doesn’t matter what kind of defense you play?
You can play bad defense [and win], but you don’t mention it when we win. But when we lose you want to mention it. I’m just a little confused.
OKC has gone 9-6 with the fifth-best offensive rating in the league and the second-worst defensive rating at that same time.
