John Wall is arguably one of the best guards in the NBA, and honestly people don’t think he’s much appreciated by fans, especially in Washington, but it looks like Wall is pondering a bigger problem. Wall is 5th in NBA All-Star votes for Eastern Conference guards and whats more perplexing, hes 35k votes behind recently returned Kyrie Irving.
Kyrie returned to the court December 20th, yet he is already 2nd in All-Star standings. Wall, who has been averaging 19.5pts and 9 assists a game, thinks he should be a lot higher than 5th and little bit more relevant than Kyrie.
It’s a joke. I played like horses–t the first month and a half but I still was averaging like 16 and eight. That’s not bad numbers. I guess it’s the record. No offense Kyrie, he’s played (three) games. If he was healthy he probably would be in that position because he’d be playing well. I can see him there because that’s how talented he is.
There are some blogs that have posted Wall is upset of Kyrie’s position or even upset overall, but I don’t see it that way. Wall probably feels overlooked and as any competitor just thinks he is deserving of the recognition. Who can blame him? Wall is absolutely one of the best guards in the East, and hopefully he gets his deserving spot on the All-Star roster.
