Fans Will No Longer Have Full Control Over NBA All-Star Voting

DeAndre Jordan won't even take calls from Mavs

This is one of those tricky things.

Fans voting is normally irrational because they are fans, but the NBA All-Star game is for the fans. Kobe didn’t deserve to be an all-star last year, but everyone wanted him in the all-star game.

The NBA has made some changes to the voting process.

Fans will have 50% of the vote, media 25% and players 25%.

There will still be some biases, but the NBA hopes that this ensures no weird starters are voted in just because they are popular with fans.
