I assume Kenneth Petty didn’t want to register as a sex offender in California because he would have had to put Nicki Minaj’s address down as the house he was living at and all their neighbors would know. Unfortunately for him because of that he is looking at 10 years in jail.

According to official records, Petty is officially in California’s database of sexual offenders and a new mug shot has been uploaded.
Petty registering is a big deal since him not taking care of business is what lead to him being arrested and charged with a felony.
Earlier this month, Petty was hit with an indictment and arrested by U.S. Marshals for failing to register after moving from New York to California with Minaj. Petty was convicted of first-degree attempted rape in 1995 and required to register when he moved to a different state.
He entered a plea of not guilty and was released on bond. Prosecutors wanted him to be placed on house arrest, but the court landed on an ankle monitor. Petty was forced to surrender his passport and ordered to stay away from drugs, marijuana and drinking.
