We have to look at this honestly and objectively.
No feelings, just facts.
The Morris Twins have been labeled dirty players for a long time in the NBA. Markieff Morris took a dirty shot at Jokic at the end of a blowout game. There are times as a man, you have to react to these things, so bullies know that you aren’t the one to be messed with. Jokic responded with a massive shoulder block in the back that was so forceful they had to bring out a stretcher.
Jokic said after he watched the video, he didn’t realize how hard he shoved Morris.
Jokic said he felt the need to protect himself but that he felt bad after seeing how hard he shoved Morris in the back.
“It’s a stupid play,” Jokic told reporters after the game. “I feel bad. I am not supposed to react that way. … I thought it was going to be a take foul. … I think it was a dirty play. And I just needed to protect myself. I felt bad. I am not supposed to react that way, but I need to protect myself.”
Jokic later added: “I don’t know who showed me the clip, and actually his head snapped back [after the shove], so I feel really bad. … It’s a bad move.”
The HEAT tried to confront Jokic in the locker room, even though they had to know that they had no chance of getting in, but you have to pretend at least you are ready to fight the whole team. It is good for morale. Markieff’s brother then threatened Jokic, but that led to Jokic’s brothers threatening the Twins.
There have always been rumors that the Jokic brothers have ties to the Serbian mob, so it would probably be best if everyone just relax. Jokic apologized, and that should be enough. You don’t want it to escalate to anything more, and Morris might think twice about unnecessary hard fouls to players after this.
