Tinder Swindler Simon Leviev’s bodyguard Piotr Kaluski is demanding $5.6 million and an apology from Netflix. And what’s his reason for demanding the apology and millions of dollars from the streaming giant? According to The Daily Mail, Piotr Kaluski claims Netflix “portrayed him inaccurately and that he was also conned by the lying lothario” and wants to be compensated with an apology and $5.6m.
Piotr Kaluski was depicted in the film as Simon Leviev’s right-hand man who was always with him when he texted his trusting female victims asking them for thousands of dollars or euros to escape his ‘enemies’.
Simon – whose real name is Shimon Hayut – often texted his love interests photos of a bloodied, beaten-up Piotr to prove he was not safe and needed to go on the run with their money.
Piotr does not appear in the documentary but he has now hired a lawyer to take Netflix to task.
In a letter to the streaming giant that was obtained by TMZ, Piotr’s Polish attorney Joanna Parafianowicz demands $5.6million from Netflix, asks the site to remove the film from the internet and asks for a public apology.
He insists he never did anything wrong, and that like the women, he is also waiting for Hayut to pay him. He claims he is owed 10,000 euros, approximately $11,000, for services rendered.
Here is what Piotr Kaluski’s lawyer Joanna Parafianowicz wrote to Netflix:
‘My principal is the aggrieved person in this case.
‘Not only because his personal rights have been flagrantly and unlawfully violated, but also because the title character of the film owes my principal a remuneration for the services rendered (approx. 10,000 euros) and evades such payment.
‘The unlawful use of the image of my principal in the context of the film’s content and the allegations of financial exploitation of women, and the suggestions made about the possible participation of Piotr in such dealings objectively and understandably contributed to the size of harm suffered.
‘My principal is a person not involved in the project described in the production, had no knowledge of the financial activities of his employer and cannot be associated in any manner whatsoever with the formulated allegations.’
