Some people want to stray from the norm, even though it’s usual for NFL players to mention their college during NBC’s player introductions on Sunday Night Football.
This week, Vikings left guard Dalton Risner made the decision to try something new by choosing to name his high school instead of Kansas State, his university.
The game is being played tonight in Denver, which is only about an hour away from “THE Wiggins High School,” which is situated in Wiggins, Colorado.

Risner was born and raised in the region and played his first four seasons in the NFL with the Broncos, who selected him with the 41st overall pick in 2019.
For him, winning this homecoming competition would be the ultimate treat.
