After Sunday’s contentious conclusion, Jerry Jones is being accused of manipulating the outcome between his Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions.
The Lions’ two-point convert that was ruled out has been the talk of the NFL all week. In fact, the league had to issue a memo explaining the eligible receiver regulations to everyone.
Naturally, it’s far too late now. Three two-point conversion attempts later, the Lions were defeated. Additionally, a former player believes Jones had a hand in it, despite head coach Dan Campbell‘s apparent admission that his players’ behavior may have confused the referees. Golden Tate, an ex Lions receiver stated on X,
“Jerry Jones picked up the phone and made that same call he made back in 2015 when they picked up that PI FLAG,”

This relates to a 2015 playoff game between the two teams in which the Lions ultimately lost and were unable to advance to the postseason due to a clear pass interference that went uncalled.
Positively, the Cowboys had already guaranteed a postseason berth before their game versus Dallas after surprising their supporters with an NFC North victory over the holidays. Now, they aim to win their first postseason match since 1991.
