There are only two teams that do not yet have a head coach and one of them are Seahawks. Given the number of staff members they have previously spoken with, they have a strong list of prospects, but the squad is also considering at least one additional coach.
Mike Macdonald, the defensive coordinator for the Ravens, is of interest to Seattle, according to Jeremy Fowler and Brady Henderson of ESPN.
Seattle would need to wait to interview Macdonald until his season is over, since it did not conduct a virtual interview with him. Macdonald is also considered a prime candidate in Washington.

That is significant because, despite being mentioned as a possible candidate earlier this month, Macdonald has not yet been contacted by the Seahawks as part of their ongoing search. The Seattle Times‘ Bob Condotta has confirmed that the Seahawks intend to interview him as soon as feasible despite this.
According to the revised league hiring guidelines, candidates from clubs participating in tomorrow’s conference championship games were not permitted to participate in head coaching interviews this week. Nonetheless, during the bye week between the conference championship games and the Super Bowl, staff members who have already had a conversation with interested teams are permitted to have another interview.
Nevertheless, Macdonald would not be eligible for an interview or a job offer until the Ravens’ season is over, given he had no communication with the Seahawks during the cycle.
