In the last quarter of the game, when the 22-year-old All-Star guard was being pumped with oxygen, Anthony Edwards may have succeeded in making every Minnesota fan gasp. In Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals, a weary Edwards—who appeared to be running on fumes—had a pretty unusual way of collecting his breath after having played the most (40) minutes out of the whole Timberwolves team.
According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN,
“During the time Anthony Edwards was checked out of the game from 7:53 to 5:31 remaining in the 4th Q, the Wolves guard put on a face mask to receive oxygen in the tunnel by the Minnesota bench.”

Even though Edwards’ approach was unconventional, the youthful team captain of the Wolves was determined to see his team through to victory, especially in light of the Mavericks’ narrow victory against Minnesota in Game 1.
Since the beginning of the season, Anthony Edwards has been Kyrie Irving’s guardian at the Mavericks. Upon initial observation, Edwards appears to have the physical advantage and is ten years younger than the seasoned point player.

However, despite entering the game with the upper hand, Edwards found it difficult to stay up with Irving on the court. Not to note that Kyrie moves off the ball so much that Ant-Man’s hands are on his hips or knees, which is a blatant indicator of exhaustion.
The Minnesota Timberwolves were predicted to turn up the heat and win Game 2 of this series by a sizable margin after losing Game 1.
Sadly, Dallas narrowly prevailed 109-108, handing the Wolves another heartbreaking defeat on their home court.
Anthony Edwards led his team in scoring in Game 1, yet his performance was very different from what the public had witnessed. Edwards’ 21 points in Game 2 wasn’t much of a rebound from his 19 points in the first game, which was predicted to be nothing more than a fluke, according to StatMuse.
Now that the Mavericks are up 2-0 in the series, the Timberwolves, who play games three and four of this seven-game series in Dallas, are under intense pressure.
