Lamar Jackson created a lot of attention for the league’s cross-border promotion when he was recently photographed touring Germany. Even while his devotion attracted attention almost immediately at the time, the winds have shifted because he was not present for the Ravens’ offseason activities.

Unbelievably, Jackson lost not only the fan vote but also a hefty $750,000 that the Ravens were supposed to pay. Lamar Jackson’s contract, signed in 2023, included a requirement that he participate in optional team practices in order to receive an annual incentive for off-season workouts.
Lamar Jackson being casual with money ?
The clause permits the Ravens to withhold the enormous six-figure payment until Jackson returns.
According to Mike Florio, who just provided specifics on NBC Sports, he needs to take part in 80% of the offseason workouts in order to be eligible for the OTA bonus. The required minicamp was not included in the statistics. Nevertheless, Lamar Jackson is unable to return to the bonus because he has already missed four of the last five sessions.

Jackson will receive $31.75 million in 2024 instead of $32.5 million due to his absence. Losing $750,000 is still a significant sum of money, even though it may not seem like a big impact on his overall compensation.
However, based on the way he’s handled things, perhaps this was just a choice he made for himself.
Offering your time for training when it’s not required has an opportunity cost. In addition, the quarterback has been working out so hard that his jacked appearance has garnered media attention. And the Ravens can find a way to give him that $750,000 back in bonuses and incentives later in the season if he can accomplish it on his own and perhaps improve.
