During Saturday’s game against the Golden State Valkyries, Angel Reese finished with yet another incredible double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds. In an all-around performance, she also recorded two thefts and three assists.

Reese was unable to complete the game, though. The Dream lost their sixth straight game to the Valkyries, 88-83, as she committed six fouls and fouled out with seven seconds left in the fourth quarter.

However, one of Reese’s infractions caused debate. After all, a lot of fans thought that Laeticia Amihere, a forward for the Valkyries, failed to sell the foul.

Reese attempted to post up against Amihere with 2:48 left in the second quarter.

It’s interesting to note that a slow-motion video of the play revealed little to no contact at all, and Amihere appeared to bend her head back and flail to give the impression that she had been struck. Reese was called for an offensive foul by the refs.

Although some fans think Reese struck Amihere, the vast majority of fans disagree.

Reese’s offensive foul was upheld in any case. Whether the WNBA will examine the play and discipline Amihere is still up in the air. After all, flopping is subject to stringent league regulations.
